no more dana or brody's super hot wife in season 4. it has been confirmed that they will not be returning as series regulars in season 4.

well yeah... i mean why would they be?

it's just too bad they couldn't have killed dana off definitively though. until she gets a stake through the heart, i'll always be afraid she'll run into carrie in a diner and act all smug or complain about something.

it is too bad about the wife though. they stopped really doing sex scenes after the first season anyway though.

not really happy with any of the new characters either. they're either boring or annoying or both. i usually like f. murray abraham but even he's been pretty flat and unimpressive. and the senator guy/new c.i.a. director is like a thousand dana's.

oh well. this show is getting a little tired anyway. they probably should have just stopped after this season and gone out on top. instead, it will probably just wind up looking a lot more like the israeli procedural it is based on which is too bad.

other than the scene where brody shows up at the new gig cleaning cum from hotel rooms, why was she in this season at all? not only because she sucks, but i think it would have made more sense and had more of an impact if the viewer didn't find out she tried to kill herself/took her moms name/all that shit until the same time as brody. they should have just focused one episode (or even half of one) on brody going to see her before he ships out and her telling him all that shit with flashbacks. instead they wasted like 3 episodes where dana drove around with a dude who maybe killed his brother (who fucking cares!) while her hot mom with preggo boobs freaked out. brody's mission played out too fast and he was in too few episodes. especially since it ended the way it did. such a waste.

I like Agent Quinn. It will be interesting to see how the next season goes.

^^yeah, the dana is strong in that one. lol

and like i said in the other homeland thread, even if those two aren't on salary anymore, i wouldn't rule out [ugh] a guest spot or two in the future so carrie can tell them brody was actually a hero and they can do the stock lifetime-channel-meet-your-little-brother/sister scene. the show lost its best actor/character, and they even put saul out to pasture, so they've got to fill the time somehow. i'm expecting it to get more '24'-ish.

i like quinn. he can't hold the whole show together though. damian lewis kind of could. he did in this, he did in 'life', and he did in most of 'band of brothers'. i'm not sure claire danes can. they kind of had a good dynamic as character instruments; she was chaotic, and he pulled everything together and added depth. not sure who can do that now, or if they just tone her down.

I really liked Dana's rear end for some reason

in the same article that said they weren't coming back as regulars, it was also said they wouldn't rule out a guest appearance like how mike showed up for like a minute during his downtime from chasing raymond reddington or following raymond reddington depending on how much of the blacklist you've seen.

carrie said she gets to pick her team in istanbul, i'm guessing she will be taking him along with her.

i haven't given up on the show, but my interest level has been severley decreased.

I agree.

My main gripe with the show is that they could have made Carrie this awesome, highly intelligent agent. Instead, they choose to give her stereotypical "woman issues" - poor decisions driven by emotion, mentally unstable, in love with the wrong man, now a surprise pregnancy? I think I'd like her much more if she was the strong female lead that she should be.

i think they do that to try to give credence to the idea that she's not just smart, she's a genius, and geniuses tend to be idiosyncratic, unstable, etc., and only genius in one area to the detriment of everything else, but whether that worked or not is another thing.

i see what you mean about the stereotypical "woman issues" thing though; i don't know where they're going with the pregnancy development and i will have no desire to watch the show if it wastes any more screen time on irrelevant, dead end melodrama like they did this season with dana and her retarded boyfriend.

show should have ended with dana getting brutally murdered by a dc gang member for giving him the stink eye while wiggling her eyebrows obnoxiously
